Newfound Woodworks' boats, Guillemot Kayaks, Laughing
Loon Kayaks, will be available to paddle test ONLY for those who
register and sign a Liability Waiver. You will not be able
to use a boat unless you sign a Liability Waiver and use a PFD.
If you hope to paddle test a boat bring your own PFD and favorite
paddle.
Paddle testing boats will be concurrent with other activities,
EXCEPT during short breaks for breakfast, lunch, and the Paddle-By. The
boats available for paddle testing will be marked and paddle testing will
be supervised in a specific area of the beach.
Wellington State Park will close at 6:30 pm each evening
because there are no lights for nighttime activities. This is a state
mandated rule that we have no control over. If we don't observe their
rules we may not be invited back again. We will have security at the beach
each night so you can leave your boats. If you plan to use your boat later
in the evening you can use the adjacent 24-hour state boat access to Newfound
Lake. Be aware that this put-in is somewhat rocky and definitely not sandy
beach. Safe boating laws require that you have 360 degree visible lighting
at night.
Once you register and pay your registration fee we will
mail postcard verification. You will pick up ID's for each day's entry
into the park, a Liability Waiver, nametags, and boat tags at the Registration
desk. You can use our online secure shopping cart to pre-register now
by clicking Here.
We hope to have a safe, enjoyable, educational weekend
for everyone. We can do this with your cooperation.
